BlueEarth expansion modules are designed to enhance the performance and capabilities of the versatile Micro-440e. Whether your application requires more I/O or larger program and data storage, the Micro-440e expansion modules are just the ticket. Any of the modules may be connected directly to the Micro-440e's expansion port, and ribbon cable assemblies are available for connecting more than one module to a single Micro-440e. The capabilities of the expansion modules are all in addition to the standard Micro-440e digital I/O, and memory capabilities. All modules include a programmable logic device (PLD) that determines how a module is accessed. Specially programmed PLDs are available that permit multiple I/O-24 modules to be used with a single Micro-440e. I/O Expansion Module: This module can be used to interface the Micro-440e to a dot matrix LCD module and a 4x4 keypad, relays, lamps, switches, or other peripheral devices. The I/O-24 module adds 24 CMOS/TTL compatible I/O channels (three 8-bit ports) using an industry standard 82C55A I/O expander. The standard I/O configuration provides 12 I/O channels and 12 high-current outputs. Other I/O configurations are available. Refer to the price list for more information.   Memory Expansion Module: If you're a little short on program or data storage, a Memory module can easily add from 8K to 128K bytes of additional memory capacity to the Micro-440e. A single 28/32 pin DIP socket will accept various RAM, EPROM, EEPROM, or FLASH memory devices. An optional lithium backup battery can be installed for nonvolatile RAM operation.   BUYER PROTECTION All BlueEarth controller products and accessories are backed by a 90-day limited warranty as well as an accident protection policy.
