BASIKIT SOFTWARE Basikit is a powerful programming tool originally developed for BASIC-52 programmers that now supports BlueEarth BASIC and MONITOR-51. It provides an integrated, menu driven programming environment that enables you to spend more time on the art of writing code and less on the mechanics. With Basikit you can write portable, modular code using symbolic labels with almost unlimited documentation. The Basikit software package includes tools for writing, uploading, editing, and debugging your BASIC programs. MODULAR PROGRAMMING Basikit allows you to write BASIC programs with symbolic labels for line numbers, convert it to line numbered code, and download it to your Micro. You can also convert existing code with line numbers to modular, labeled format. EFFORTLESS EDITING No more struggling with BASIC's primitive line editor that requires you to completely retype a line to make any changes. With Basikit you can use the on-screen line editor for making quick changes to displayed lines, or the full screen editor for scrolling through all of your code. Basikit even buffers BASIC program lines typed at the command prompt for easy typo corrections. You can also access your own text editor from within Basikit. HIGH SPEED FILE TRANSFERS Basikit's communications window includes an interrupt driven serial interface for communicating with your Micro at baud rates up to 38,400 using COM1-COM4. Basikit checks each character as it is sent to ensure error free loading of your BASIC and hex files. For faster transfers, Basikit can store BASIC source files in Intel Hex or ASCII Hex format, which is much faster to load and save. MONITOR-51 SUPPORT Several of the editing features available in the BASIC communications window can also be used in the MONITOR-51 mode. A few simple keystrokes is all it takes to switch back and forth between BASIC programming and MONITOR-51 debugging sessions without losing BASIC programs in RAM. HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE PACKAGES Basikit is available either individually or together with any of the
Micro-440e and Micro-485 hardware and software packages
for a better value on a powerful development package.
