The Xplor-32i and Xplor-32s take the core Xplor-32 features and add capabilities designed for industrial control applications. These models vary from the Xplor-32 standard in that they have a much heftier 5 volt regulator and an RS-422 serial port that can also be used with an RS-232 port or wired as RS-485. Other common features include a reset switch, power supply jack, and screw terminals for all I/O connections. These two models do not include an I/O socket block, since all of the available I/O lines have dedicated functions.

Xplor-32i

This model includes screw terminal connections for 6 relay outputs and 6 optically isolated bipolar inputs. An optional output connector provides access to the TTL-level signals used to drive the relay coils. OEM versions with custom output capabilities may also be available.

Xplor-32s

This model includes a solid state I/O module socket on each of the 12 digital I/O lines. The sockets can accept any of the common types of industry-standard optically isolated I/O modules: AC input, AC output, DC input, or DC output. Any combination of these modules can be used in the 12 available sockets. Each I/O module includes a status LED and a fuse socket. It is shown here with three of each optional I/O module installed.

The Xplor-32s also includes an LCD and keypad interface similar to the Xplor-32u controller. This feature gives your control application a built-in user interface capability.
